Art on Wheels: Indoors at the Street Machine and Muscle Car Nationals
There is a new show in town! The Street Machine and Muscle Car Nationals debuted at the Fairplex in Pomona this last weekend. The show brought together a little bit of everything, including autocross, pinups, a burnout contest, manufacturers and cars, lots and lots of cars.Today we are bringing you the indoors from the show, featuring beautiful rolling art by some of the best known builders in the business. This long and sleek 1959 Impala built by Fosdick's Garage is absolutely striking. Those fins, oh how we love fins! The black paint on this '66 Chevelle is deep enough to walk into, but that is not what caught our attention. Check out the bumpers and trim, in a beautiful a brushed nickel finish. Now that is a detail that we hope turns into a trend, and one that So Cal Speed Shop executed with perfection. This '50 Merc by ProDesign is a show stopper. This sled is cut, chopped and massaged in to a curvy flame-licked monster.Shag carpet? Yep, that is shag carpet as a headliner.Red is usually the official color of stop, but this 1966 Nova is all go.We had to walk around this truck a dozen times looking at every detail. This is one of the most highly modified trucks we had seen in awhile. If you enjoyed the metal art from indoors at the Street Machine and Muscle Car Nationals, be sure to check back with us later this week for the rest of the show!
