Vintage Steel at the 2014 Beachcruiser Meet
This past Saturday, we checked out the happenings at Donut Derelicts, and from there headed just around the corner to PCH and Main St. for the 2014 Beachcruiser Meet. Today we are bringing you the vintage steel from the show, a fantastic collection of cruisers, muscles and classics. At times the first car you run into sets the tone for the rest of the show. As you can see from this curvy beast, this show was off to a great start.A wonderful example of why we love living here - beautiful Southern California, just feet from the beach, and a sexy car.One of our favorite finds at any show (hey, I own one) the Willys Wagon. This bus is quite the looker and filled with some classic touches.Check out this stick of butter on wheels - a VW bus classically themed for Challenge butter. Check out the license plate, "BUTRBUS." Creamery genius! Is it any surprise that we found so many of these down at the beach? We loved the roof detail on this one.Surf wagons were everywhere, and this one, complete with a stellar sticker collection, fit right in.We are colossal fans of space age cars like this Buick Le Sabre.Check out those fins and rocket taillights, this car is going to take off any minute!Still in love with this little Corvair every time we see it, and that license plate gets us every time! This T-Bucket had all kind of surprises...check out the placement of the gauges on the back of the supercharger...and when I got to the back, a Jaguar rear end!The steel was out in force, but we can't forget the wonderful world of wood that is a major part of what this show is all about. Check back later this week for our continued coverage of the Beachcruiser Meet!
