Street Spot: 1964 Ford Futura

A regular feature here on The Daily Driver Project is the “Street Spot.” We love seeing vintage cars as daily drivers, out on the streets where they belong. When we see a vintage car worth sharing, we’ll post it as a Street Spot. Sometimes it will be a beauty, sometimes it will be a beater, but then again – even the beater cars are beautiful to us!IMG_0878IMG_0879IMG_0881Spotted in a high school parking lot, this Futura featured a cherry red paint job and a clean red and white interior, complete with fuzzy dice. Interesting fact: Ford Futura was a car manufactured by Ford Australia, beginning in 1962, as part of the Falcon line. While originally called the “Ford Falcon Futura,” they decided “Ford Futura” had a better ring to it.
