Monterey Historic Races: Curves

So far we have brought you the Corvettes, race cars on the track and American Muscle in the pits from Laguna Seca. Today we bring you curves... lots and lots of curves. From subtle to extreme, these curves play a vital part in the aerodynamics of these race cars.There are the curves of the early cars, when the driver still sat high above the ground.Throughout the years, cars and their drivers were closer to the ground, making the most of the aerodynamic studies.A trio of cars from "Not Dead Yet Racing" - check out the skeleton driver...And finally, the ultimate wedge to cut through the wind.All of these race cars gathered in one place served as a makeshift pit museum - a moving catalog of the evolution of automobiles in relation to aerodynamics.  There's still more to come from Monterey... stay tuned!
