Street Spot: World Traveler

A regular feature here on The Daily Driver Project is the “Street Spot.” We love seeing vintage cars as daily drivers, out on the streets where they belong. When we see a vintage car worth sharing, we’ll post it as a Street Spot. Sometimes it will be a beauty, sometimes it will be a beater, but then again – even the beater cars are beautiful to us!
We found this world traveler during Monterey Car Week while on our way to The Little Car Show. This grille on this 1956 Mercedes 220S Convertible was adorned with badges from the many countries we suspect it has traveled to. We can imagine the owner flying to Germany to purchase the car in 1956 and then driving it around Europe before shipping it off to the states for its permanent home of California.Don't change lanes, there are more vintage goodies to come!
