Rev'ved Up 4 Kids Charity Car Show 2013

Auto enthusiasts found their way to this weekend's Rev'ved Up 4 Kids Charity Car Show, held outside Vic's Garage in Torrance, CA.  That's Vic, as in Edelbrock, and Edelbrock fans and their cars turned out for a great cause...We leave you today with a T-bird that has a special story...This T-bird came off the assembly line on June 8, 1956, at exactly 3:13 pm.  The car was shipped to San Francisco to a Mr. Frank C. Kirk, either to be use by a Ford executive or for promotional purposes.The car was then sent to Long Beach Ford where a Mr. John Downs bought the car as new on December 7th, 1956.  Mr. Downs was Betty Grable's dancing partner in 1956 and 1957 when she had an act in Las Vegas.Mr. Downs had some interesting stories about their adventures with the car!  He sold the car in 1995 to Jeff Christeson who had the car completely restored at Prestige Thunderbird in Santa Fe Springs, CA.  The current owner purchased it from him in June of '99.Not many classics can say they've been graced with the likes of Betty Grable!  Stay tuned this week as we bring you more classics, this time, from inside Vic's Garage!
