Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance 2013: The Europeans
Believe it or not, there's still more vintage goodness from this year's Pebble Beach. Most recently, we brought you the American manufacturers represented at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, and today we share with you their European counterparts. This 1934 Hispano-Suiza J12 Vanvooren Cabriolet stopped Sara and I in our tracks. The lines of this Art Deco automobile are beautiful, but what really stunned us was the color! How often do you see a car of this era painted a bright color like this? We often see cars of this era in more muted tones, and this lively two-toned paint scheme was w fun change of pace.

The details of this 1912 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost Rothchild et Fils-Style Limousine were outstanding. We first saw this sedan at the Tour d'Elegance and noticed a few of the details then, and discovered many more on the day of the Concours. Notice the serpent's head? That is the horn for the driver. We also loved the wicker detail tha made up the tan band around the back half of the body. The inside even had more fun details, like this speaker, in place so the passenger could easily talk to the driver.
