Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance 2013: Sports Cars

Last week we brought you some of the race cars from this year's Concours d'Elegance. Can't you see Don Johnson getting out of this car with his white suite and t-shirt? - with no socks, of course.MConN-IMG_4804rMConN-IMG_4806rMConO1-IMG_4753rMConN-IMG_4810rThis 1964 Lamborghini 350 GT Touring Coupe was the first car sold by Ferruccio Lamborghini.MConU-IMG_4613rMConO2-IMG_4762rMConP1-IMG_4817rThe 911s were used throughout Europe as police cars, and this 1974 Porsche 911 Targa is a great example. It was used by the Dutch Rijkspolite and could definitely catch the fastest speeder. An interesting fact - the Targa's top was never installed in most of the police cars, which meant officers ended up getting really wet on rainy days.MConO2-IMG_4764rThis 1955 Alfa Romeo 1900 CSS Ghia Aigle Cabriolet is only one of eight Alfas with bodies built by Ghia.MConO2-IMG_4770rMConU-IMG_4617rMConP1-IMG_4821rThis 1969 Porsche 911S Coupe's original owner was Dr. Ferdinand Porsche.MConO2-IMG_4772rMConO2-IMG_4766rMConP1-IMG_4825rThis 1963 Porsche 901 Prototype Coupe was the beginning of the 911, a model that is still being built today, 50 years later. This is the only 901 Prototype know to exist.MConP1-IMG_4823rWith the success of the 901 prototype, this 1964 Porsche 901/911 Karmann Cabriolet Targa prototype was built by German coachbuilder Karmann at the request of Porsche.MConU-IMG_4615rThere's more Concours goodness to come... stay tuned!
