Motor, Tires and a Seat

The earliest race cars were not much more then a motor, a frame, some tires and a seat.  Basically, you just held on for dear life as you pushed these brutes through their paces. The Monterey Motorsports Reunion brought out some fantastic early road racing machines that are just as much fun to check out in the paddock as they are on the track.

It is truly amazing that these cars were pushed to the speeds that they were.  On the track, they are impressive, up close, they are equally amazing and inspiring.There will be more to come, so stick around!
