Hot Rodders of Tomorrow
Goodguys Del Mar draws hot rods from all over for one weekend car show extravaganza. Yet cars aren't the only stars of the show...
Amidst all the vintage automotive goodness, there are teams of students participating in engine building competitions, and anyone is invited to watch them compete.
This program is put together by Hot Rodders of Tomorrow, which began in 2008 with just five teams.
Since then, the competition has grown to 95 teams, with 665 students competing at a total of 9 events across the country.
High school automotive teams compete for the fastest time, and for scholarship money too.
Congrats to this year's winners, the Accel team from Rancho Alamitos High School, with an impressive win time of 28:21!
