Happy Birthday to the Ford Mustang!

Today we send birthday wishes to one of the most iconic cars in automotive history, the Ford Mustang.  First introduced on April 17th, 1964 (giving name to the 64 and 1/2 that enthusiasts refer to), it caused a sensation that still continues today.  To celebrate, we invite you to take a look at one of the original Mustang commercials.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9XTjkO1IZA#aid=P-wVEges8GsVintage ads like these make me smile.  Not only do we get to see cars at their first introduction to the world, but we get a glimpse at the media blitz that accompanied them, and an idea of who marketers were trying to target at the time.  Don't you love that last tag line in the commercial?  "Mustang is the one car that's designed to be designed by you."  Love it!  What you see here is the very beginning of building a brand, and a very successful campaign at that, as the brand still stands strong today.Happy Birthday, Mustang.  You're lookin' great for 50 - here's to 50 more!
