Goodguys Del Mar Nationals 2013

As the weather warms, the calendar fills with shows and vintage cars come out to play. This past weekend, many of them were at the Goodguys Del Mar Nationals. Goodguys always puts on a great car show, and Del Mar is among their finest, drawing an incredible number and variety of classic cars and hot rods. Today we feature the indoor beauties of Del Mar...We loved the carefully crafted details on this heavily themed rod, from the throw switch in the engine compartment, to the bullet shell toggle switches on the dash, to the sliver of a rear window remaining in the back.Intriguingly styled and expertly finished, this rod had a unique look that made this vintage classic into a modern beauty.We couldn't resist snapping a picture of this behemoth of a bus, and we're sure many show goers wondered what we did - what kind of MPGs does a bus like that get? Single digit? We'd bet on it. But it sure would be a great ride!Like what you see? The indoor beauties of Del Mar are impressive, but the cars outdoors were plentiful and fascinating.
