Friday Around Town • Ventura Nationals Weekend
Friday I headed up to Ventura for the Ventura Nationals. Friday’s are always so much fun. The town fills with traditional hot rods and customs in anticipation of Saturday’s show. In years past there was an art show and cruise on Main Street but as with everything, things have changed. The art show was moved to Saturday at the car show and Main Street was blocked off for the restaurants. That didn’t mean things weren’t happening. JG Design & Fab had an open house and cruise up the coast. I didn’t make that one, but I did make it to Sabor Kustoms takeover of Barrelhouse 101. I also had a great room at the hotel I stay at every year where I could just open the window and shoot the cars as they rolled in and out of the street. It was a great way to kickoff the weekend.
