Finding Old Photos of Years Past
So recently I have been helping a friend out with her dad’s shop after he passed away. It houses a crazy collection of parts and other wonderful things. Part of the things I’ve been finding are old photos. Fantastic old photos of decades past of drag racing, boat racing, and monster trucks. These are just a few photos from Craig Railsback and the early days of Blower Drive Service.
Here are a few behind the scenes from a shoot in front of Blower Drive Service along with some other supercharger goodness. Also, check out those Predator carbs. Such a crazy unique designs (I also found one still in the box at the shop).
Now you can’t have a supercharger company without drag racing. At one point in their history, they were even the main sponsor for Al Hoffman and his top fuel funny car. These are from the World Finals at Pomona. I wish I knew the year but it’s before the large tower suite was built and there was just the smaller 3 story timing tower.
And a few from the water. Some not supercharged and a few other companies superchargers but it’s all about the speed.
A few from back in the day with monster trucks and what we would call today tractor pulls but in years past they used funny cars and monster trucks to pull that sled. Blower Drive Service was a sponsor of Bigfoot from the beginning back when the truck was still a truck with big tires.
