Fabulous Fords Forever 2013
This past weekend hosted the largest Ford gathering in the west at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA. The Fabulous Fords Forever show featured over 2,100 cars, and we'll be bringing you highlights of this incredible show all week...The number of Mustangs at this show was mind-boggling, and fine examples from every generation covered the parking lot, including this Cobra, signed by Carroll Shelby himself. It's not often that you can say that a Mustang is one-of-a-kind, but this '68 happens to be just that - take a look at these stats, provided by the owner:
Of the 317,423 1968 Mustangs,
25, 385 were Convertibles. Of then,
3,350 came with 302-4V Engines.
335 of those had 3-Speed Manual Transmissions.
15 of them were painted Raven Black, of which
5 had Black Decor Bucket Seats. Of those,
3 came with Black Power Tops with Glass Backlites
1 of these was produced with a Console.
8R03J131064 is that Mustang.
This T-bucket gave showgoers a thrill, particularly when owner and hot-rod builder Joe started it up to let everyone experience what this bucket really had to offer. The Ford goodness doesn't stop here. We'll continue bringing you the best of the show, and as always, we'll be highlighting a few interesting stories along the way... so, stay tuned!
