Blue & Gold for the Win: '48 Dodge Truck & Terry Trailer

Today we're digging into our photo files to bring you a serious find from our time at the Friends of Steve McQueen car show.FSM14-DSC_0101rThis perfect pair of truck and trailer begins with this 1948 Doge B1, once a former farm truck, and now owned by Matthew Warholy, one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.FSM14-DSC_0103rMatt had a serious stroke of luck when he happened upon this retired work horse, which he obtained for a mere $800!FSM14-DSC_0104rWhile he doesn't take her out on the freeway, with the governor removed, it now does 60 mph.FSM14-DSC_0105rWith the trailer in tow, Matt took side streets all the way from Alhambra to get to the show.  While that took a bit longer, he didn't mind.  Who wouldn't mind spend extra time cruisin' around in a truck like this?FSM14-DSC_0106rThe partner in crime to Matt's '48 Dodge is this curvy, shining Terry trailer.FSM14-DSC_0107rThe outside is just as clean and pitch-perfect as the interior...FSM14-DSC_0108rwhich is bright, sunny, and has all of the comforts of home.  Matt loves his trailer (we can see why!) and takes it out regularly for all types of excursions.FSM14-DSC_0116rClearly, Matt and girlfriend Betty have done their research, including the required vintage trailer owner's reading of Trailerama and Glamping (Glamorous Camping!).FSM14-DSC_0111rIn this functional and accommodating little kitchen, you'll notice a very cool feature...FSM14-DSC_0110ra vintage built in foil, wax paper, and paper towel dispenser (swoon!).  Talk about period perfect!FSM14-DSC_0114rI don't know about you, but I'm just about ready to settle into that booth for an afternoon snack!  Special thanks to Matt and Betty for sharing their love of this truck and trailer combo with us!
