Grand National Roadster Show: Meticulous Metallics

Dear Santa...I know what I want for Christmas this year.  Yes, it's only January.  You're probably still on vacation (well deserved, I might add).  It's a little early to be putting my list together, but this girl has already made up her mind...IMG_1217rIMG_1218rIMG_1216rIMG_1220rIMG_1219rYou know how I feel about extra-curvacious fenders... *swoon*.... and that grille?  Divine!  I adore the snout-like intake.  I also love how the headlights echo the shape of the grille - classy touch.  This car is one sexy beast when standing still.  I can only  imagine what it looks like on the road...IMG_1257rIMG_1240rIMG_1241rIMG_1258rThis Jack Stewart beauty was quite the showstopper, yet there were even more meticulous metallics throughout the show competing for attention...IMG_1206rIMG_1207rIMG_1210rIMG_1211rIMG_1208rPresented by James Hetfield and Rick Dore, this beauty, titled The Black Pearl, demanded some serious stares from show goers, including me.IMG_1268rIMG_1269rFrom the rivet work to the seats, everything on this roadster was hand-crafted and beyond compare.IMG_1227rThe finish on this '55 certainly blows away the soda-pop and sock-hop stereotype that comes with the typical '55.IMG_1235rIMG_1236rIMG_1237rPart paint, part metallic, this muscle car was further proof that this finish looks good on cars from a variety of decades.IMG_1203rI priced out all of the cars with a metallic finish, and determined that this little guy was the only one within my budget.  Looks like I'll need Santa's help after all.So... how does the song go?  "Santa baby... hurry down the chiminey tonight..."  Seriously Santa - tonight.  I can't wait until December for you to sneak one of these babies under the tree!
